Welcome to Snippet Cricket

These are exciting times indeed to be a cricket lover. The end of the Australian dominance of the past two decades along with the advent of Twenty-20 cricket, umpire referral systems, security threats, and Indian hegemony in the administration has generated a spectrum of opinions amongst the followers of the game. Being able to engage in lively debate and discussions about the events on and off the cricket field greatly enhances the viewing experience for us all. Through this blog we hope to provide a platform for the forgotten followers of the game to express their opinions, offer critique or vent their frustrations at the events that will unfold over the subsequent months. We invite all educated observers to share their opinions about improving the game and the viewing experience in general as long as it is articulated in lucid, intelligent fashion. This is not a platform for jingoistic debates or a discussion of scorecards and statistics. So just as the world cricket field gets leveled, we hope to level the field for the cricket watchers by providing a forum to stimulate an engaging debate and discussion in the course of time.
